Red Bull brings a competitive adventure in the Pacific coast of San Lucas, Puntarenas. 140 athletes run for 6 miles (10km) until they get to the beach. From the beach, they have to kayak for 4 miles (6km) in open water to get to Puntarenas, where they will finish the race.

This is our first Escape San Lucas, and we are honored to provide the brand identity and concept for this event. Escape San Lucas takes place in the San Lucas Island in Costa Rica. The island used to be the roughest jail in the country, but Costa Rica declared it part of the national wildlife preserve in 2008. We used the island’s history in the branding and created elements with an old and rustic feeling that matched the environment.
